  • Excellent product with great visibility...

I am not sure what is up with some of these reviews, but I suspect a lot of them are kids who just hate accountability and they are trying to scare users away, same with the Circle Go. However Disney has a great product here, is it perfect? Nothing is. However they have worked hard to give parents close trips over their home and their kids devices. I recommend this product regularly as I help parents learn about protecting their home and family. One time price, control over your home, visibility into your kids lives so you can talk about accountability and responsible device use... priceless.
  • Best money I ever spent on hardware

I considered building my own content management appliance for the home network (I build and maintain large-scale Internet systems for a living), but after estimating the time and comparing Circle’s feature set, I bought a Circle appliance (and later, a Circle Go subscription) and never looked back. The reviewers who are saying it’s easily hacked either don’t know how to secure a network, or perhaps the Netgear-branded version operates differently. If you have a stand-alone Circle device, and a Circle Go subscription, your kids will *not* be able to bypass it without your knowledge (the notifications are timely and accurate). Feature set and UI are good (although not always flawless; I’d give 2-3 stars for inconsistent behavior). Overall, a great buy (have had one since before the Disney partnership, when they were still in startup mode).

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews here. This product works wonderfully. Very easy to setup and manage my kids devices. Customer service was very helpful as well when I messed my circle up during my move. I highly recommend this product.

  • Ok but not great

All the paid version does is add timers etc. I want to be able to let the kids use computers for school work but still have play time. All this does is disable at bedtime or turn off access, not worth the extra. Needs to have timed profile changes like school to playtime, then bedtime. As it stands the app is an opportunity wasted. I’ll stick to manual changes for the moment thanks. Latest gotcha, it keeps forgetting edits to the blocks so blocked categories keep getting enabled. Overall, frustratingly inconsistent, not worth paying money for in its current form.
  • Not compatible

Anti-virus recognizes homeschool programs as threats and will not allow full program operation. I removed after many attempts to authorize sites and kept coming up with more blocked than could deal with.

  • 4 Boys

I have 4 young boys who are constantly using their chrome books, iPads, and Nintendo to be online. Now I can monitor exactly what they are doing and how long they have been online each day. When their time limit is up, it automatically shuts down their devices. I can then Easily add more time if need be. I can also shut them off when they don’t listen or I need their attention. This is a great app. I’m very pleased.
